Seth McInteer – Board Member
Seth is about as rooted in Nashville as one can be. He was also born, raised, and educated in
Nashville … he even owned an Opryland season pass. Despite the affliction of being a life-long
Vanderbilt fan, Seth did leave Nashville for a few years to attend the University of Tennessee
College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2007. A serious lapse in judgment
almost had him taking a job in Atlanta, but his senses returned and brought him back home to
begin his legal career in Nashville.
After several years of practicing law at Riley, Warnock & Jacobson PLC, Seth, along with
Howell O’Rear, formed the commercial litigation law firm of McInteer & O’Rear PLC. At
McInteer & O’Rear, Seth represents individuals and business clients, across a variety of
industries, in all manner of contract and business disputes. The firm also works with businesses
to avoid or minimize the impact of litigation. From protecting intellectual property to analyzing
residential and commercial real estate transactions, from crafting non-competition agreements to
assessing insurance coverage, McInteer & O’Rear provides clients with thorough legal counsel on a
number of day-to-day operational and transactional legal needs.
With his love of Nashville, his career working with independent businesses, and his own
Nashville independent business, Seth jumped at the opportunity to work with the Nashville
Independent Business Alliance. Seth looks forward to working with this organization to foster
an environment that ensures the success, stability, and vibrancy of independent businesses that
have made and will continue to make Nashville the dynamic city that it is.
